nice looking sail, it's great to be able to design one's own sails.
Just curious, though, about the Red Bull tie-in. Are you affiliated with Red Bull Energy Drink in some way? |

I'll bite- what is the theory behind that design? Super light wind wave sailing? Light wind SUP cruising? My last 9.0 had 8 battens and 4 cams. This sail looks cool, but what are you planning to do with it?

Hot Sails Maui, Superfreak..now called 'Classic Superfreak'. 2.9m--9.0m 5 battens.
from HSM@@@@@@***((((
The Superfreak Classic has influenced the global return of vibrant color back into windsurfing sails and now leads in material development.
The SuperFreak Classic is arguably the most forgiving, easiest handling, widest wind range sail ever created.
The 9th generation Superfreak has a new panel layout that provides the cleanest SuperFreak thus far.
The feel of the SuperFreak Classic is very soft. There is delayed response as the Dacron panels stretch to absorb strong wind gusts providing a super smooth ride that is easily controlled.
The manageability of the SuperFreak Classic allows sailors the possibility of pushing their limits with a positive outcome. The large PVC window will not haze and it can always be kept crystal clear using any glass cleaner type product. Since the introduction of the first SuperFreak to Maui waters in the summer of 2002 this sail model has now evolved with a totally redesigned Dacron panel layout as well as a proven Kevlar 15000 denier ""skeleton"" usage resulting in a snappier feel and more consistent performing sail.
The SuperFreak Classic is all about self-expression. On Maui as well as around the globe, we have an ever-growing core group of windsurfers who swear by the magic feel of this sail. The SuperFreak Classic is an absolutely unique sailing experience.
The 2 battens directly above the boom are both 90% in length, stopping just short of the mast sleeve. This batten design provides a super controllable, luffable sail that can be powered or de-powered in an instant. The SuperFreak Classic is the best tool for self-expression and FUN no matter what your age or ability****@@@@@@)))
An UltraLight version of the classic, has morphed into some other versions as well, that uses kiteboard kite material in 'some' of the less stressed areas, the UL version is lighter and has a slightly different feel than the classic. A little more ¢.
An Maui edition Superfreak that again will feel different, the panel layout promotes a lower end grunt feel.3.7m--5.8m, 5 battens
An Speedfreak edition. 5.5m--10m 7 battens no cams, name says it all.
An Microfreak, kids or very light weight adults..8m--3.8m 4 battens.
All Freaks use Dacron as the main sail panel component, kevlar for reinforcement. They are very well made and have evolved since 2002.
The feel on the water is different to most, soft is the right word, very forgiving in gusts, the dacron makes them durable. You can design your own colors at NO extra cost using the colors without custom graphics. Graphics are additional.
They are said to sail slightly smaller than a typical sail. They have to option to rig full or with a floppy leach, and on the water are very quiet, and handling is light in the hands. Masts from HSM are the softer top variations and are all RDM, a SDM will work fine. _________________ K4 fins

Nice sail. You had it made? I only use that size for ice sailing myself. |

I love my 3.7 freak. It really makes a huge difference for super strong wind compared to a film sail. |
