I'm 52 as well beagle. In the trades. Hoping 5 more years of hard work. I believe because we are constantly in motion, we are better off. Just don't get in that oven.

It's a freezer! and yes it does seem to help being active, semi-retired is sort of where I'm at now, mostly retired may be where I'll be at.
