Im looking for a board that would be just perfect in the Chrissy/3rd Ave. heavy chop on a 4.5 (and under)day. If one had to pick the PERFECT board for these conditions, what would it be? (note: both speed and airtime are desirable) I wont be doing any real wave sailing and Ive got the bigger convertible niche covered.

Ever try a Gorge Animal Bonzer? For me, NOTHING compares to them for superior control and broad wind range in rough conditions, from huge chop to Gorge swell to tightly-packed east coast surf. You can find a Bay area Bonzer owner for a demo by checking with www.gorgeanimal.com. (I dont work for em; I just LOVE em, even after trying out > a hundred other boards.

Im using a Cascade 86 made in Mosier Oregon for those very conditions. It has a stringerless blank with a carbon kevlar layup, lighter than polyester but not so light as epx. The model is Gorge/Wave and it eats chop etc. but still a good coast board for very windy days. They are made up custom but still ver reasonable pricing and no sales tx in OR. Guarantee is for life.

Ihave a Naish 82. It is pretty small (68 liters) but its a scream when it is blowing! You fell like u dont have anything under you feet: in the air... no limit.
