trade off is pretty simple: 10' turning vs 11'8" power to grab waves at will. |
I agree that the longer board allows to grab waves at will. With my Kona, I can catch pretty small boat wake...
But I wonder if the OP, at 155, wouldn't be served as well by the 10 footer. I'm 210 and 3m50 feels long enough. I'm sure my teens are unable to catch waves with the Kona, they lack the weight and strenght to easily trim it. The OP maybe somewhere in between? |
