Wed 5-7 Another nukefest at TI. My 170lbs was flung across the sizable chop with terrifying ease. 95l board, 5.0 with excessive downhaul. I need to start bringing a Kleenex size sail if this keeps up.

Wed Berkeley lots of sailors coming in wide eyed and scared, having rigged 5-5.5's mostly, as the wind peaked at 29 or so in the gusts, down low at third dock.
Most said 4.5 would have been perfect, and only a few freestyler's chose that small at 2PM.

(Thursday) Best day of year in Berkeley. Steady wind avg 26+, no holes, 4.5 to 5.0 for 160 lb sailers. Beautiful swells, steep faces off the restaurant, no cross chop. Smiles everywhere.

Overall good day at Crissy. Spotty on the inside but a solid 4.3 from the middle to the North tower. Got out at 2:30 and sailed the usual couple of hours. A lot of short high frequency chop, some fun little swell here and there, and a LOT of boats!!!! Must be high tourist season or something!
A few hydrofoils out (man they point high!) and the usual idiot on a Kite that decides to start from the beach right on my approach. Collision avoided by a few feet, not sure who teaches kiting but right of way is not on the list

Pro windsurfer Jason Voss gave lessons to numerous windsurfers at Sherman Island Access in the late morning. Thanks Jason!

very enjoyable sup sailing session after work friday in Alameda. pretty steady planing in the harbor bay ferry channel couple of miles out. SUP makes getting there and coming back a breeze, even with the fickle wind inside.
Captured some of it with my cheap imitation gopro zip-tied to my clew:

Left my groovy Berkeley and Isabel for Hood River. Looks like it's going to be windy for a while. Hope it blows on the bay for all my buddies. Shortie here I come.

Another 4.3 day at Crissy, although it might have been better to rig 5.0 and stay outside where the wind was weaker. Inside VERY choppy, smallish, high-frequency and disorganized. No swell. Lovely. Outside very flat (it was flooding) it is where the 5.0 (or bigger) would have been handy.
