I have been curious whether the wind is different between Kalmus and W. Dennis and yesterday (Sat 6/17) may provide a good comparison. I sat at West Dennis from 12:30 to 3:15 with the wind not planable with a 7.5. The iWindsurf W. Dennis windspeeds seem a little high for this period. iWindsurf Kalmus windspeeds, however, look great ... but were they? Can anyone who sailed Kalmus yesterday verify the iWindsurf Kalmus speeds? Was it really blowing 20-30 MPH between 12:00 and 3:00?

Hey Kevin,
I heard it was blowing stink all day at Kalmus. Always does. Plus they only charge $8 for non-residents. Lets face it, everyone should go to Kalmus.

Kalmus is definately more windy on SW but the waves are better at WD.This is an ongoing pro v. con battle among the regulars.Definately more kooks at Kalmus and way more crowded and dangerous on hi wind days. |
