Hi Guys. I'm looking for a very cheap or free sail (5.5-ish) and a two piece mast to put together a land sail rig for my son. I'm in the So Cal area and will gladly pick anything you've got up. Let me know.
Thanks!

Have a bud pick them up at a Gorge swap meet for $5-$10 ... likely free with a clamp-on boom at the end of the Labor Day swap.

has someone taken care of you yet, Jed? I could put together a 5.7 HotSails Maui rig for your son from my recycle goodies - just in case you should pass through here on the way to fuller lakes than ours...

I have a board, a sail, and a mast for sale - very cheap. I'm close to downtown L.A. Please contact me if interested.

you sure about the sizing there? sounds big; most of the land sailing rigs i've seen are in the 3.5~4.5 range.

I have to agree with dogalone. Unless he is a BIG kid, you might want to reconsider the size.
If you're going to be on a skateboard in a smooth parking lot, 4.5 and smaller is normal considering 10 to 15 mph.
If you are off road on a Streetsailor with pneumatic wheels, a 5.0 in 10 to 20 mph winds should be plenty.
I am assuming a rider under 170lbs and some experience sailing.
Feel free to contact me if you need a Streetsailor too and join our group on FB. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Streetsailing/291160937596410
