Cool ... Looking forward to hearing reviews.
(Right, probably terrible for those locations with seagrass in the surf)

Not many venues on the east coast for these fins. If this example of natural design was so good, why don't we find it on more sea life, or even just more whale species

they tried the humpback bumps on wind turbines
I don't want a fin that looks like that... hit some poor seal....blood, and then a visit from the landlord?....would rather sail a football
laird's gotta SUP with rails like that leading edge
breaks the laminar flow-drag I guess
Angulo's a lurker here....remember phasers?

Seems like a very sound concept. Afterall, everyone knows the humpback wale is the sleekest, fastest, most agile creature in the sea.....
Gimme a break.

A friend of mine had a glass phazer windsurf board. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I remember those phazer boards. Ed started playing golf and got the idea from the dimples in a golf ball. Did Angulo make them for more than 1 year?

Phasers were used by several manufacturers/shapers around 1990/91. The production Seatrend 7'10" sported phasers or dimples.
The idea was to allow the tail to ride more free and thus help keep the board more level. They worked somewhat with full or nearly full-rocker board for the same reason they do on golf balls. Drag reduction on a curved surface moving through a fluid.
