If green grass to rig on is so important to you why don't you knock on the door of one of the homes next to Rowena and ask if you can rig on their grass. Those homes have nice green grass lawns Rolling Eyes

Actually, the well draws water from an aquifer that is not unlimited. If you water the grass, some of the water will drain back into the ground, but most of it is lost by evaporation and transpiration by the plants.

If the well is properly constructed and sealed, it should be free of bacteria.

This would be a good time for people to review the water cycle and see how it is all connected.

Water is a crucial limited resource that the Pacific Northwest will be seeing less and less of in the future.

I pee in the water to help the water levels - I would be more than happy to come and pee on your equipment to wash it off as well! Laughing

Isn't it more complicated than turning on a faucet? Do park user fees cover the costs. There's a drought of tax dollars too.

See - I knew we were upsetting Mike. Maybe some of that expensive gear $$$ (not yours, Mike, you use yours) can be sold off with the proceeds used to specifically fund maintenance of the Rowena irrigation system. My system requires hours of repair and upkeep every year due to environmental changes, but I am sure the Rowena system will be maintenance-free.
