You guys all got really mad when I said I didn't care for Gorge winds, and preferred the Delta. Here's Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday of this week, stitched together in Photoshop. Maybe it's not blowing 40, but then again, who wants to sail in 40 mph winds? Not me!

Funny. You came to the Gorge and didn't like it. Then when you finally get Gorge-like wind you post about it, going to the trouble of stitching three days together.
I don't get it.

When has the Gorge ever blown like this? Mid-20s for 3 1/2 days. Please post.
This isn't "Gorge-like wind", and I'm not there to enjoy it, much to my dismay.

spennie - many years ago I lived and sailed often in the Delta - (did my first barrel roll there) although I have been a Gorge Monkey for the last 15 years and for many years before living down south.
I still remember my delta days very fondly - consistent wind and of course a way longer sailing season than the Gorge - (not including the Monkey's here that like 5mm+ wetsuits... and sail in December).
Glad to hear you are getting some good sessions down there - please advertise to the Canadians so that we can send a few your way...

You're right. It's always important to demonstrate that your home sailing site is better than other sites.
Nicely done.

Eh...
I"ve been sailing short boards since '83.
Been to Delta maybe 200 days.
None worth the trip. An hour drive, 20 bucks gas, 5 buck bridge, for choppy water and yahoo's everywhere....

Unfortunately more than half that time is worthless flood conditions. The best thing about the Gorge is the endless ebb.
