I'll just have to send Planned Parenthood another donation to make up for nitwits that don't understand that birthcontrol reduces the number of abortions. The kind that will try to hijack a thread without anything constructive to add. |

I'm just responding to the thread titled "The death of quality daily journalism", and you brought up two examples. You even went into great detail as to why you feel the way you do on both examples, I admire your effort, whether I agree with it or not, it's a good effort.
So I was just hoping that you could do the same thing with this other example, that is supposed to be all over the media, as well, no hijack.
But you chose not to touch that one, fine.
That will just leave me to conclude that "The death of quality daily journalism" only applies to certain subjects, of your choosing, fine, again. |

In response to a couple inflated portions of the news repeated here. The likelihood of ANY drinking water system being contaminated is extremely low. Regardless of how some here would like that sensationalized in their quest to discredit the EPA.
Silverton, has NEVER, even pre-mining used water from Cement Creek (it is naturally high in minerals). Durango has a reservoir in a drainage with very few mines. Farmington 's water was not compromised.
And, the EPA, likely knew that. It does not excuse the delay in communication, but presenting it as life threatening is a serious over-reach.
On other issues, I will get my information from a source that agrees with my pre-conceived opinions...same as everyone else, |
