OK,

Time to give our prayers for a turn up the coast. Have been dissapointed with every model run avoiding New England. Come on ERIKA!

Look how stalls over the southeast in this model. Sit-n-spin. Maybe a few days of south swell. Lots of rain for someone. JP

i sailed in the surf with the wind side off 30 degrees 7-18 mph. waves were 10 feet. could not have done it without the 11'5" board. the current was very strong on the inside where the wind was weakest.

i retested a fact that few will readily acknowledge with their words or actions: went out with a 5.8 sail at first. it was okay but lacked the power to help grab waves or to allow me to use sail power to link up from one peak to the next. then rigged a 6.8 sail and had a much better wave ride. i like to use both sail power and wind to max out my rides.

i get grief from some folks for talking about using long boards in waves, yet i get 10 times the wave sessions as those working folks that don't here in florida.

Waves sound sick!
What 11+ foot board were you using?
Were you using the footstraps? Very Happy

Outcast, think it was you I saw on some good waves Saturday. Could have been a good sup sail if it was just a touch more wind. Great summer day, cheers JP

carbon 11'5" kona. currently being renamed and reintroduced as the x-wave 11'5". 2 approval boards in a container, on the water. i filibustered hard to patrice to bring this design back.

x-wave 129 in the exocet line up right now. approval board is being hoarded by steve g. at the moment until after surf expo. i hope the container en route has another 129 for me as well.

nothing beats my long board in really challenging light winds, the 129 should keep me from using the long board in semi-jumping conditions. it should bridge the gap very well between my 105 liter wave boards and the long board.

What's the report on the X-Wave 129? Send one up to Hatteras if you want a 235 lb opinion on how it works in real world current and surf on a 6.2 Charge. Heck I would even blow the dust off of my 6.7 Psyclone and try the board in really light winds.

My current waveboard is 270 x 64 but only 105 liters. That outline is no issue in the waves, I just always wished it have about 20 more liters. I've been looking at the 110 to 118 liter boards, but haven't been sold on the super short waterline and tight stance for my 6'3" frame.

Hope that there are more than two boards in the container. As soon as get some feedback from Steve or try it yourself let us know your opinion.
