Hello all, I have recently been given a Hifly magnum 73 widestyle. As I am reentering windsurfing from a long time away from it, the board seems perfect. The issue that I have is that I would like to put a new fin on it. The screw that goes through the board and into the fin I cannot budge at all. I can use a screw driver and vice grips to tap at it to break it loose, but I wanted your opinions before I try that. Also, if I can get it loose, is there a fin that would be great with that board? Thanks so much, cheers, Len |

I would recommend that you deal with this problem at home with tools and resources available rather than deal with it at the beach. There is no reason that it won't come apart-even if the screw or fin gets damaged. Make sure you have a #3 Phillips and not a #2 or you are doomed from the start. Without knowing the board size, sail sizes, body weight and wind conditions it would be tough to make a fin recommendation. |
