Most of the best windsurfing places that I know of are weak in November such as Hawaii, the Gorge, and the Carribean. Does anyone know of a place within 12 hour airplane ride that is world class to windsurf in November? |

I looked into this a about 12 years ago. The best answer seems to be maui and aruba. Both are subject to tropical storms then. We went to maui in early Nov and sailed most days and caught the Aloha Classic at Hookipa-AWESOME. 25 foot faces, big winds 40 to 50 foot jumps etc. You could coordinate your trip as we did. Good luck -Weve gone back to maui almost every year since in the summer. |

La Ventana, near La Paz in Baja California Mexico, is good in November especially if winter comes early to the Rockies and western US.
Water temp is in the mid to high 70s and average windspeeds are around 25 mph. iwindsurf should have wind archives for La Ventana from the past few seasons, typically the season runs from late October to mid-April. |
