No cryptic message here
Yesterday some of the Cape’s faithful windsurfers hit it big time in very light off shore winds with solid chest to sometimes head / head+ wave sets. Gil, Number Nine and the Kook more than held their own with the pure “surfers” on the outer cape. ---no sails, just paddles---
PK stood tall on one wave which looked like he was at the front door of a liquid shack. It was peeling just over the back of his head.
The Kook surfs like he sails, a solid starter on the varsity team. A couple of rides were flat out bombs. And then, he too was brought back to earth by going over the handle bars into a full-on ragdoll tumble.
There were no bikini cladded crowds, or any crowds, amp’g up the adrenaline from shore. There were no cameras present either. It was just a few guys (no women seemed to be present yesterday) go’n for it.
For me, that might have been the best day of the year! |
