My cardio comments have nothing to do with personal experience. They're based on decades of peer-reviewed published research very few doctors bother to read.

My experience is the SAME of hundreds of other people who train. It cannot be disputed just because the " theory" of some doctors says otherwise.

There are a lot crack-pots, wackos and self-styled doctors out there, especially on the Internet, like those who sell their weight-loss diets claiming that you don't need to exercise or reduce the quantity of food you eat and most often over-eat.

Besides, those " other" doctors who seemingly deny the benefits of cardio-vascular training as I described it, contending that it is only muscle-specific and has nothing to do with an improved oxygen delivery function, should explain to me why my heart rate goes down so significantly with training, to the point that I can double my resistance level setting and increase my watts expenditure and still maintain if not decrease the H.R I had with the lowest hardness settings.
Before: 135 bpm at resistance 5. Now 130-135 , if not less, at resistance 10. A hell of a difference!
Is it a machine malfunctioning, autosuggestion, endorphines or stronger leg muscles?! I doubt it very much!
Anyway, I don't want to eternize the debate on this issue.

Take care

Ittiandro

I prefer round. Flat belly is ok, though.

Then I won't burden you by clarifying my or your statements.

I'll save my breath and keyboard battery for folks who are interested in the exercise physiology principles that for several generations now (millennia in some cases) have been producing world champions in many sports and helping weekend warriors and little old ladies improve their health and fitness.

For the benefit of the rest of you, the guy who invented the term "aerobics", devoted his medical career to it, and founded the "Cooper Aerobics Center" reportedly admitted his basic premise -- the very essence and physiological explanation of what Ittiandro is espousing -- was wrong. My point is keep an open mind and, if interested, keep reading. It really can very dramatically both increase your results and decrease the time you spend working out.

Some people read, some people do. Ittiandro sounds like a doer.

None of this has anything to do with hull design, glide and sub planing speed.

Why not start a thread about exercise? Oh wait, I think he already did that and made a fool of himself with the pickle juice idea.

So am I (the head trainer in my big gym told me I work harder than anyone else in there). But ittiandro is grossly misinformed.

Wasn't my idea. Debate it with the researchers whose references I cited.

But you knew that; you just didn't care.
