Corpus Christi is going off! Good winds and water temps are upper 60's low 70's. All venues except Bird Island are underused. |

At Bird Island, I counted 15 sails on the water at the same time. Probably about 25 windsurfers there over the course of the day. Brendt posted a picture from Oleander with about 7 sails on Facebook, and estimated about 15 windsurfers there.
Nice to see crowds on the water. Anyone who does not like the crowds at BIB just had to sail 1/2 mile northwest, past the Horseshoe Spoils, for even better wind and even flatter water. |

Weather Forecast for Corpus Christi for Monday Mar 6 is SSE winds at 31 mph, gusts to 35! Downstream, places like Austin, Waco, and Dallas are preparing for outbreaks of very severe weather. |

It could happen.......because, it happened the last two years. This year feels different, more back to business as usual. Time will tell. |

Even if it doesn't kill the wind, it might wash it away. |

Pretty bad here in Cab, 24 days since Jan 1st. It's close to 1/3 days, should be closer to 2/3! However, we've had amazing waves as many systems are generating swell so can't complain because it takes a couple of days to recover from the action but still, always wish for more wind. _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

Normally El Ninjo causes us to get lot's of rain. We haven't had rain since early January. It appears the El Ninjo effects have moved farther north and west, giving more rain to California and Oregon.
Today, 28mph with gusts to 37! Great fun! |

It was windy here too! I swear to God, the water is harder when it's 42 F. (Screen shot from GoPro mast-cam, March 6, 2016)
