The Sign at Rio Vista is posted that no vehicles may be left unattended overnight. There are heaps of unattended rigs there and a few semi permanent structures. It looks like a shanty town windsurf ghetto. Is it OK to ditch a rig there?

There are a lot of great spots on the NJ coast. Go to Wind and Where on iwindsurf.com and click on New Jersy/PA the regional map will give you the skinny on some great spots. Lakes Bay is the closest to you with some of the best wind in NJ. great on S-SW see you on the water.

The structures are sail sheds for the camp hosts that stay there full time. It isnt OK to ditch your rig there. For information about this sailing area, ask for Dave at the sign or e-mail him at geyerdave@hotmail.com

The answer is NO.
This will be strictly enforced in 2000/2001.
The camp hosts are the exception.
All others must pull out if they are not going to be using their rig within 24 hours.
Others, including myself, pay rent at local trailer parks to store our rigs.
Check out the Sherman Island Lake Resort. It is cheap and has power and water.

Rick is just someone who knows the rules.
RVWA leases the land from the State of California under strict guidelines from The State and our insurance provider. These arent arbitrary rules, but necessary in order to have the access at all!!!!
