All,
Looking for a wind station that can broadcast winds to me. Something that i could mount on a piling or dock and could transmit the winds somehow... phone, internet or whatever. Would prefer solar powered or a very long lasting battery.

Being wireless, do you think that these would hold up
to the extremes of a Ski lift Tower ?
I have many to deal with that are blown up!
They would have to survive Lightning. Hoar Frost
and wind that is High And Frearsome.
Does it go online?, Can it be "dial-Up"
but the RMYo...,s are getting to be a $erious Pain
I would get one for my own (Windsurfing)
and possibly get The Ski area to pay for more.
Does it connect at 2-3000 foot Range?
Will it go to a Laptop Or is it iPhone or Android only?
It seems like this could be SO easy.

I've asked Weatherflow and Godsey twice about buying one for this purpose, and need only a 200-foot open air range. I assume from their non-response that it isn't feasible. I hope I'm wrong, because I'd love to set one up at my local site for day use especially since the Roosevelt sensor was disconnected years ago.

That unit looks like it would have limited appeal for most of us. Wifi means probably a back porch or rooftop setup--not ideal for telling us the wind speed at our favorite launch.
