RSX racing right now. Looks like the racers sometimes pull with their uphaul rope with front hand while sailing (instead of hand on boom) , maybe to get their body away from the sail? Interesting.
Xfinity is injecting too many ads during the racing though
Edit: They stopped with the annoying ads in race 2.
Edit: Looking closer that must be an adjustable downhaul they are holding onto with their front hand. Looks like racing in 7 - 10 knots on that gear is fun.

Saw the Women's final on NBC today. They really need to have a member of these forums help them with the commentary. So much more could be said about/during the race. |

They also need a USA contender in the female finals! What was the size of their sails, 10.0 ??? |

Men were on 9.5 sails, women on 8.5's.
I laughed when I saw the Gold medal winner from the Netherlands, Rijsselberge, actually duck jibe his 9.5 going around the last bouy before heading to the finish line. He was way out in front at the time, and he was assured of the Gold Medal no matter how he finished in this race anyway. |
