What to do with old sails in need of repair?

I have two older sails in need of repair.

1. Sailworks Retro 6.0 from around 2005. Needs two panels repaired.
2. North Sails 7.0 from around 2002. Needs one large panel repaired.

I could get the panels repaired. I'm fortunate that North Sails has a repair location just down the road from me. At roughly $50/panel they do professional work at a great price. However, due to the age of these sails I don't think they are worth repairing. They both have panels that are getting foggy and somewhat brittle. There is no guarantee once I repair the blown panels other panels won't fail also.

So, what do you do with a sail at the end of it's life? Any good ideas? Or, should I just cannibalize them for parts (pull out the batons etc.) and toss them?

Rigging mats.

Rescue signals and rainwater collectors if you ever get stranded on a desert isle with them.

Cool handbag material for things you don't mind losing when the remaining panels fail.

Rig 'em on discarded mast and booms and set 'em up as wind/sandbreaks on the beach.

Roll exploding dye packs or rattlesnakes up in 'em and use 'em as thief bait.

Land sailing.

Teaching your clumsy buds.

Sell 'em to your worst enemy.

Sell 'em to some Nigerian spammer.

The shops that do repair may be able to use some parts.

I used one to make a spinnaker for my sailboat.
