Hi Gang,
We need a small rowboat or skiff to install a new sensor on a Nav. Aid out east. The boat has to be able to fit inside a pick up truck or if on a trailer it has to be small enough that 3 men can carry it over large rocks to launch it. It has to be large enough to carry at least 2 men and a small generator. A motor is not necessary but oars or paddles would be great. An aluminum hull would preferred since it might touch some rocks.
An inflatable could work since we could rig up some carpeting to protect it.

Hi DelCarpenter,
The title of this forum is the "Northwest USA". And the Gorge is the premier windsurfing venue in the Northwest USA. And in the Gorge everyone refers to sites east of Dougs as "out east" because well....they are out east.
So I don't think the phrase "out east" created much confusion among Gorge locals. But I can see how you could be confused from your home base in Iowa.

Except that Del lives and sails "out east" in Iowa, too. He's just jerking your doohickey ... and for FREE.

I guess my sarcasm was too subtle. But then again I was addressing an Iowan.

Yes, I forgot I was looking at the Northwest forum. And I was eager to use the old joke. I even added "neighbor's" to the line.

Del Introduced & taught me to windsurf out east in the cornfields of Iowa in 2000 Showing me video footage of world class locations around the world…inspired me right in the cornfields on a small lake called George Wyth…A avid windsurfer no matter what time of year…even rigging up sleds with sails & boom…windsurfing on the ice just to keep the stoke going! Thanks Del! Love Ya Man!!! Yes and a very dry sense of humor! Peace ~Spruce

Hey Spruce! Great to hear from you again. If we were sailing together now, you'd be teaching me.
