Misjudging Crissy, it has to happen sometimes:

1. I got there a bit to late to enjoy the flat water and the flood

2. I rigged too small (4.3)

3. it was very windy and VERY choppy and VERY unpleasant INSIDE

4., it was weaker and nice and flat OUTSIDE (but could not go there with the 4.3)

Result: If only I had rigged a 5.0 (which I did eventually) I would have been very happy (as Nino or Vasco were!)

The calendar says first day of fall but it was warm, sunny and blowing 3.2 to 4.2 condition at the stick all afternoon. Only about 10 people showed up and roughly half of them were women....some men probably went to the wrong sites, like Palo Alto, Crissy Field or can't handle that much wind and stayed home Wink .

I've sailed 27 straight days in 9 different locations, using 6 different sized boards, and on 9 different sails ranging from 3.7 to 9.5. Man, I'm dead tired..I think I'll take a day off and rest a bit.

Good record of consecutive days!
My claim to fame is never using the same board 3 days in one week, or the same sail twice in a week. Mostly, get over 90 days a year, so it's not too hard to rotate gear in the van.

Wait, that is your claim to fame?

I thought it was the time you rescued that crew of Filipino fisherman after their boat capsized a mile outside the Gate. They were barely keeping their heads above water and crying like babies until you and your GF at the time sailed over and punched them unconscious with your bare fists. Then you strapped them to your Hauts with kelp strands and sailed backwards and clew first to the Yerba Buena CG station where you dumped them on the dock before sailing back home to Crissy upwind against a raging flood in the dark. Remember?

But I was using Seatrends the day before, and the Loco Motion the day after.

So so conditions for a loooong while, I am out with 85/5.0 wishing I brought the 6.0 Firelight. But then it comes in, around 4 pm, for a great hour of nicely powered up Fall sailing. Low sun, beautiful sunny sky, some blue rolling valleys here and there Very Happy

Bert, have you lost weight? It looks like your harness is way too large for you anymore...
