Hi,
I am thinking about escaping to Bonaire toward the end of December. I would appreciate any recommendations for inexpensive lodging. Also, how is the wind in late December? I also scuba dive so I figure I could go under water if it isnt windy up top!
Thanks,
Lesley |

Ive been to Bonaire a number of times, but always in the spring. Ive had fairly good winds during february-april, although the strongest is summer. The wind is on/off all year, but not good in the fall. Winter you take your chances.
As for inexpensive, I believe the town has the best prices. Try this web site for budget prices:

Ive tryed to do the dive/windsurf trip on Bonaire, and mostly windsurfed, but managed to get a few dives in.
Try Patricks Divers, Sand Dollar, or Dive Bonaire. Most of the places make you take a orientation first before you can rent. Also call ahead to reserve gear. |
