I purchased a new Powerex mast and the NeilPryde adapter plug for shear-tip sails doesnt quite fit in the tip of the Powerex mast. Is the only choice for newer NP sails w/shear-tips a Fiberspar or NP mast? |

There are different size adapter plugs. Take your mast into the dealer and find one that fits. |

how is it *not* fitting? too loose?
I know that the Neil Pryde adapters for older sails, didnt fit very well either. So, one solution is to glue them in (if too loose). Use a marine epoxy.
If too big, well that might be able to be shaved a bit to fit, and then glue it. |

Put some vaseline on it after sanding it or sawing it. Then hit with rubber mallet or hit mast into ground plug first. Dont worry it wont bust the mast. I had the same situation and it works great now!!! Good Luck |
