I,ve been living in Orange ct,CA for a few months now. Plenty of surf no wind. Today is one of those expected 20 to 30 mph NE days. I dont understand the area well. Is there anywhere south of LA and north of MEX. that is ocean sailable in these conditions. For that matter does anyone know if wintertime bring any good conditions here. Surfings great but I would like to go sailing. |

Philip,
Im not too familiar with what spots go off around OC in these conditions. Lake Perris isnt toooo far away. If youre not wanting to drive far, you could check the NB, HB, and LB coasts and maybe Cabrillo Beach?
Interesting difference in temperature between Gorge and So Cal early this monday morning:
Stevenson
32 degrees
25 MPH
Leo Carillo
65 degrees
33 MPH
Here at the So Cal iWindsurf.com HQ, its blowing too hard - about 45 and its about 70 degrees out. Huge dust devils are ripping through the lowlands toward Port Huaneme. We can smell a wildfire... Too much work to do, otherwise wed have to go sailing...
