Anyone had any experience w/the carbon FIXED extensions which add about 45 cm to the base of a mast?

No, but jacking your mast up that high has two major drawbacks: It changes the bend characteristics and may place the booms in a non-reinforced area.

I didnt think about the issue w/the booms being on a non-reinforced area. Thats a good point. I wonder why Fspar would sell something like that knowing it may compromise the integrity of a mast. I should note the mast Im using it on is only a 60%. Thanks.
