Woundering if anyone has some experience with the starboard Go 166 2008 board. My wight is currently around 140 lbs.Looking for a board to use for light Wind and am considering This board.

The Go's have always been good boards. A little heavy, but durable. They look beginner like, but when powered, they can move pretty fast.

If you want early planing, it's not your best bet because of the weight, but with enough sail, you can probably plane in 13-15 mph winds. This depends on your sailing skill and pumping skill. With your weight, maybe an 8.5 sail would do it. Slogging, not so much fun.

What are your expectations?

For some strange reason at the start of SUP, i found that i could paddle 360 that thing like mad, so i dropped four futures boxes into one

You can sail it tandem with little kids or pregnant wives in the waves

or you can just stuff it by a lake and let kids jump off of it
