Sailing in Key West in April/May

Im traveling to Key West at the end of April. Whats the sailing like this time of year and where do people generally sail.

Ive been there but havent sailed there. Most windsurfers keep all their old magazines so windsurfer February/march 97 has the florida spots and details conditions at all different spots on the way to key west, once there Smathers and Monroe beaches on the south side, according to the magazine, wind should be good but this is florida so can be either way. wont be much waves, more flat to choppy. hope this helps

I am heading down there too on April (Specifically) Islamorada. Being fm Florida bring your BIG sails and little sails. You never know what might happen. But the possibility of 20+ Kt winds will depend if we get another good strong cold front when we are there.
