Thanks Eva.
Can you give us an update on the water level? About how far is it from the Old Isabella parking lot to the water's edge? Some pics would be awesome.

and another view of the Ghetto launch, showing a bit better just where those boats are moored. Look at what little is left of Engineer's Point! (pic taken Feb 27, so expect the lake to top out about 4 feet above this)

and finally, the marina, just below the parking lot (I am standing a few feet from the pole the iwin sensor is on).
This was Feb 23 - so the lake had just started to go down again. The 60% level the Corps is aiming at, is approx 2 feet above this.
I am harping away at the 60% level, because with the huge snow pack we have in our watershed, we should see snow melt well into July, so should enjoy the 60% for most of this sailing season.
It will be awesome!

we would be more effective if we coordinated our efforts, Gary. Your wading in at a moment in the proceedings when we are extremely vulnerable and utterly dependent on FS's and marina's good will, may prove unhelpful. Since I am at the lake 5 days a week with some volunteer activity or another; and since I have for years now been the only one to stand up for our interests, you may safely assume that whatever needs addressing, I have already addressed. I would love your help with these issues, but we ought to ascertain that we pull on the same rope, in the same direction

When speaking to rangers or anybody that may have the ability to close or limit our access its best to be polite. Never bring up the statement of a safety issue. This could lead them to think windsurfing is unsafe and needs to be eliminated. It has happened in So Cal and it can happen elsewhere. The crew at lake Lopez has a very good working relationship with the powers to be. They have a difficult job making room for all the people wanting to use our water resources. I bring them cookies every so often and we invite them to the year end BBQ when we have it...Make friends

thanks, Gary, but if you think I let you off this easy, you are sadly mistaken! Let me know when you want to get together, and I fill you in on all the current goings-on, and then we see about divvying up the chores Very Happy
