Petition demands Melania Trump move to White House

Quote:
Joy Reid’s panel had differing views over whether Melania Trump has the right to live in Trump Tower at tremendous cost to taxpayers, as Trump family travel also costs millions. Watch and weigh in.

This is another spit in the face of trump, they could care less if trump claims he has a secret playbook that will wow the world. The Iranians have spit in his face, the Russians have spit in his face, the Chinese have spit in his face, the North Koreans have spit 3 times in his face, and now the Syrians have. Yet he blames it on Obama... too funny...

maybe he should not be golfing every weekend and stay in the Whitehouse and do his job...

my gosh his had his little boy son in law running to Iraq, the kid is a real-estate trust fund kid. What does he know about war, and religious war and so on. He is an inbred idiot to think he has the experience to be involved in issues like that. Good thing he went to Iraq so that Syria could do the below.

wpo

Scores killed in one of Syria’s deadliest chemical attacks in years

Quote:
Activists said airstrikes in the northwest delivered an unidentified chemical agent that killed at least 58 people and filled clinics across the area with patients foaming at the mouth or struggling to breathe. President Trump called the attack "reprehensible" but blamed the Syrian regime’s “heinous actions” on the Obama administration’s "weakness and irresolution."

But wait, he was going to settle the Middle East in the first month. Right after he replaced Obama care with a better plan. Only he could do it.

Here's the headline from Baja's posted article:

Quote:
Tesla Stock (TSLA) Soars & Passes Ford (F) On Record Production, Model 3 Progress, and maybe some fake news

In simple terms it says that Tesla stock soars (up 7.27% in the last 5 days) while Ford's went down (down 1.6% in the last 5 days).

I always find it fascinating that headlines often don't have much to do with the story. Basically the story is that Tesla has yet to show that it's production can match it's hype. Tesla produced 25,400 units in the first quarter of this year. They now have approximately 400,000 reservations for the just the Model 3. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Ford sold 81,000 F-Series pick ups in March alone. Tesla has a long way to go to join the big boys.

Nothing wrong with Tesla, it has great potential, or Ford for that matter.

Those bad loans are indicative of the lousey economy Obama left us with. But, jobs and manufacturing are on the move now.

Question. How much money have you made from the Trump rally?

On that line of thinking, Obama inherited the worst economy since the depression. When he left the economy was better than when he started, the dems will argue it was his doing and he was effective. I wonder what things Obama did specifically to cause this improvement or did the economy improve on its own?

Read any of the many books about the causes of the meltdown and the recovery. I think the best is "Stress Test", Geithner was a Republican when this all started, and most Democrats objected to leaving two Bush appointees in charge of the recovery. But it worked.

It certainly wasn't Obama alone--many structures set up decades ago to manage the economy, particularly the Fed, were effective at pumping money into the economy and restoring a measure of confidence. Nor is the elimination of Glass-Steagall the biggest cause, despite the rather unsophisticated arguments of Bernie Sanders. But several decades of de-regulation, backed by both parties, and the utter failure of the SEC under Bush were the biggest dials.

McConnell is the main reason that the recovery was not stronger. Relative to the size of the economy, the stimulus package should have been 2 to 3 times as large, and aimed at construction of infrastructure. His refusal to do anything that might lead to Obama's reelection doomed main street. The Fed resorted to quantitative easing instead, which was less effective and increased economic inequality.

But for Republican talking points, you can always avoid books--like Trump has since he was in his 20's--and watch Fox or read Breitbart.

Just watch the damage that Trump does to the economy. His policies on immigration are going to do far more harm than good. And if he goes to war in another country, or increases terrorism in reaction to his inability to use the diplomatic channel, things will get even worse. The war on terrorism has cost $5 trillion so far. Could that have been better used to provide healthcare, medical research, and a refreshing of the infrastructure that creates private sector investment?
