Can anyone one testify what Pt Mugu Conditions are Like when LEO Carillo is going off.
They have real nice breakers on the Air Station beach with plenty
of free parking and no rocks. Looks like it would be a great place with side shore conditions. |

Last time I surfed PT. Mugu you had to be a member of some silly surf club to be able to get wet. Hopefully this policy has changed, also you had to have ties to the military to even get on the base. This surf spot is also called Pelican Point by the way. Ive seen good wind there but its a little onshore where Leo is bit better. The waves pack a good punch, especially during a good south swell. If youre able to overcome the red tape and sail it should be a great sesh. Good luck, K.P. |
