I am staying in Chincoteague for 4 days the weekend of April 14. Can anybody recommend some sites to put in where I can do some shortboarding? I have big sails too in case of light winds. Anybody on the water near there yet?

I LIVE ABOUT 30M SOUTH OF CHINCOTEAGUE ON THE CHESAPEAKE. THERE WAS A SAILING CENTER ON THE SOUTH END OF THE ISLAND-SOUNDSIDE ;BUT THAT IS CLOSED. I KNOW OF NO PUBLIC BEACH ACCESS ON CHINCOTIGUE. THAT DOESNt MEAN YOU CANT FIND A SPOT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE YOU CAN LAUNCH.ASSATEAGUE ISLAND IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY.DRIVE TO THE BEACH AND TURN LEFT. ON YOUR LEFT YOU WILL SEE TOMS COVE. LOTS OF WAIST DEEP WATER. GREAT SAILING. ON YOUR RIGHT.THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. HAVE A GREAT TIME.
