I have to be at Megens Bay in St Thomas in the end of April for 3 days. I need to score some gear. Any one know of a good place to rent from? I am willing to pay for the best. Dont think I can haul my gear with me.

I was there for a few weeks last summer and will be spending a month there this year. The only place that Im aware of is West Indies Windsurfing which is on the other side of the Island. Its not that big an island but the taxi are expensive. The guy there is named John ? You call likely find him on the web or by calling information. He rents by the hour day or week at typical prices of about $20/$60 and $220. He has a pretty good launch area but a little farther out it gets like a washing machine, but still better than sitting on the beach. You can actually sail accross to another Island about 3/4 mile. Anyway, I would suggest you look him up he does have a lot of gear and decent shape. Bring your own shoes and harness. If you really need his phone number post and ad and Ill find it. Good Luck.

John Phillips at West Indies Windsurfing 340 775 6530. If you want to just go and check it out its located next to a bar restaurant called Latitude 18 near Red Hook. Gear is mostly last years HIHO stuff, pretty good.
