I'm looking for advice from women who sail the Delta (or their partners).
What do you use for summertime wetsuits? Shorty, 3/2, 4/3...? Do you wear booties (looks like a good idea for launching, at least)?
Any advice on where to buy them around Sacramento?
Thanks,
Karen |

obviously lots of personal preference involved, but my girlfriend has been trunking it (no wetsuit) since July 4th weekend. morning and evening are colder, so a 2/2 shorty has been fine for her. Water right now is warm, so sometimes it really just comes down to the air temp and personal preference.
It seems like people have been cutting their feet more than normal this year in the playpen, so booties are not a bad idea. _________________ Kevin Kan

I often see people sailing side by side wearing everything from full suits ... even 5/3 steamers ... to board shorts and a cotton T shirt. I assume they would change clothes if they were uncomfortable. |

WoW to the selection of wetsuits & booties available at the Delta Windsurf Company - at the entrance to Sherman Island (summer hrs 10-5). Fashion Compression suits from Mystic & O'Neill look great from the shirts to the full suits- Come try some on and take a look ! Good to wear Booties also- a wide variety. Custom orders are quick days away if you have a special want. Come Rip up an Awesome August with the whole DWC crew ! Tricky Ricky |

ProMotion wetsuits at www.wetsuit.com has an excellent selection of every type of wetsuit, including vests & pants for warmer temps. My wife & I have been wearing them for years, all the seams on every suit are guaranteed FOR LIFE, and their service is unbeatable! _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

Thanks, folks, especially kevinkan. I was hoping I wouldn't need more than a shorty for this time of year.
spennie, I loved my ProMotion wetsuits when I sailed in the gorge. Good to hear they're still recommended.
