I'm afraid to go to an ocean beach on tues or wed. Full mast high I would think. I took this pic from this past Sunday am, just down the road from Scarlborough, Montauk buoy was only 4.5ft at 11 sec. Tues wed is supposed to be twice that. 8ft-9ft at 12s-13s is forecast.
If I see a window that looks like a sure thing for good sailing in RI, I'm in.
Lars is spot on with Corp. Bayview/mayflower/chapin might be the go as well.
Wish I had the day, would go to RI just to take pics. Surfing has been !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! last two weeks. JP

The Flats in S. Seaside Park should be going off good in New Jersey.

Checked the latest hourly forecast for Scarborough. Looks like NNE In the morning. Aunt Carrie's could be a good bet. Still focusing on the north shore of the cape, which will be 10 mph stronger overall. 35 gusting to 50 in the PM.

Have fun down in Jersey, save some for us up here in New England! I remember the waves during Matthew were amazing down at the south end of Island Beach State Park.

Has anyone launch from the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters. Looks like a great spot to launch from sail across to the barrier island and then play on the outside.
Just checked the refuge area map. Looks like the waters to the east of the headquarters is outside of the restricted area. Just need to walk down the beach a little. Should not be restricted to walk across since one is not windsurfing at that point.

the newest chatham breach in south beach puts the open atlantic into the inside area. other people on here may have been boating here to better comment but there sure looked like a lot of wind/tidal current flowing through there the last time I looked.

Thinking of making some last minute changes. Seems like winds are being delayed on the Cape. Thinking of heading out to Pt Judith early tomorrow either Scarborough or Aunt Carrie's or if I dare, Point Judith Lighthouse. Winds will be NNE shifting to N.
