New to the area! Somebody (windsurf, kitesurf) going out along the South Shore MA (Nantasket, Scituate, Rexhame, Duxbury) today, tomorrow or friday sept 22nd? Tips welcome too for a nice wave sailing spot. Who else, join the club! Like to meet some other windsurfing / kitesurfing guys / girls; sailing together is much more fun! Best, Maarten

Welcome! May be headed to Nahant tomorrow afternoon. Plan for Friday unclear still, but may head to Green Harbor in Marshfield (small parking area at end of Beach Street). There may be some people there tomorrow as well. |

One word of caution about Green Harbor, best on low to mid-tide. High tide can get a bit sketchy because of the sea wall to the south of the beach if you have not been there before. |

Hey, anyone sail Quincy Bay? Seems like a good launch on Quincy Shore Drive. A bit off topic of wavesailing, since its in the harbor, but might be a good option today, NNE 25, being sheltered from the big stuff, yet decent wind fetch. |

Several good spots available on Quincy Bay, but be careful re tides, mid- to low tide is very shallow with scattered rocks. Some launches off Quincy Shore Drive are fine, but stay south of the two yacht clubs. North of the yacht clubs, bay gets very shallow very quickly, mud/muck bottom. Have a look at Squantum Point Park, also Edgewater Drive or Bayswater Road or Arthur Boyson Park, try also corner of Babson Street and Sea Street, all in Houghs Neck area. |

Which wind direction works for the other spots you mention. |

Having issues posting full reply... go to MA North Coast, Hull YC, and look at 'Local Info' for a post from years ago, still accurate |

Thanks! This is good. Maybe today would work at Houck's neck. |
