My board is a tuttle box. Not a deep tuttle. No extra reinforcement. Will it work for foiling or will foiling destroy my board.?

It won't destroy your board, it will destroy your box.

Gotta fit the deeb tuttle base, so the board needs to be thick at the box. Just add filldepth spiderweb wood reinforcement, 8 spider legs off the box.

I have this vintage 2002 Formula board deep tuttle box. With box reinforcing think it would be a decent foil board 10-20mph wind in flat water? If yes, is there a you tube video on how to do the reinforcing to box? cheers.

I called Sailworks and LP foils about the power plate. One said it does not work and they wish it was not on the market. The other just said they would not use it on their boards. This was for a power box board...

Closest spot to sail has a wide wind range, inside 10 mph for first 0.5mile and outside 20 mph. Also, looks really fun to work on planing jibes a foot off the water.

I have heard those plates will eventually blow out your box, so thinking might as well rebuild a bomb proof box.

This box seems like a good one to put in for foiling. Replacing a fin box seems like a rather advanced job for a board repair novice like me. Anybody know someone in SF Bay area that would do it?
