SO I came up with a base and daggerboard for the old Hi-Fly race. Popped the foot in and locked up good. Problem is I cant release it and get it out...anyone know how these old mounts work?? thanks!!!!

The slider is not clearing the prongs from the mast foot groove.

They can be very stiff to release. and you may need to lever it, if it won't slide far enough to clear by hand!

Well you MUST have cleared the slider with its prongs to drop the mast foot in in the first place. so it needs to slide the same distance to get it back out.

Try pushing down hard on the mast base as you try to move the slider the full distance. (And check that the base is the correct fitting for that track.) If all else fails you will HAVE to lever it clear.

P.S. I mean lever the SLIDER, not the mast base.
