Cool. Glad to see some folks are planning to sail.
I'll probably either hit Spring Lake ocean side or Trixies or Lavallette for a bayside sesh.

Looks like we can have nice weather for sailing on Saturday ... but do we have any liquid water?

Sandy Hook and well into Raritan Bay is frozen over solid - 12" +. I have not seen Barnegat Bay or further south but typically the ice is much thicker in the barrier island bays and slower to melt. Ocean sailing is the only option or ice sailing when the cold returns Sunday.

I heard that Trixies has ice, but can't confirm for sure. Based on the temps we've had for the past two weeks, it seems highly likely that the bay would be frozen.

That looks like a ton of fun. Gotta look into that. Thanks for the video Mr. Bird.

Looking like potential for solid SW and moderate air temps on Friday April 6th. Thinking about a potential bayside session in the afternoon, likely Trixies but could potentially be persuaded to Lavallette or elsewhere in the nearby vicinity.
Anyone else thinking of getting in a sesh?

Good forecast for tomorrow. Laurel blvd? Allen rd? Ocean probably going to be rough.

Great sailing yesterday in the Trixies / Laurel Blvd stretch of the bay. Nice to see so many sailors out. Hope all had fun - NJ doesn't get much funner than that.
