Rare Snowfall in the Sahara Desert
Snow in all 50 states!
To have snow on the ground in all 50 states at the same time, is a fairly rare feat. The last time all 50 states had snowfall on the ground at the same time was on February 12th, 2010. |

So, if the climate deniers are wrong, we all die. Like, everyone on the planet! If they are right, but we move forward with green strategies for renewable energy sources, we get cleaner, cheaper energy.
Hmm! Seems like a very easy decision. |

Malibu is so excited it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere that he has forgotten about the Southern Hemisphere—and the 85 degree temperatures in Los Angeles in January |

mat-ty, do you remember how bad the air was back in the 50s and 60s before California provided the leadership and necessary regulations to significantly reduce air pollution?
Growing up in LA, I know just how bad the air was in those times. One only has to get behind an old 60s car or truck today to recognize how much pollution they spewed. In addition to having much cleaner air today, just imagine how many jobs that emissions control technologies permanently introduced in the world economy.
The idea of ignoring and denying the ecological and technological gains that can be generated by innovation and development into the future is flat stupid. Are you willing to let other countries lead and put America in the dust? |

I'm not denying anything, I am all for taking reasonable actions that MAKE SENSE. At the moment ,wind, solar, algae, fuel cells, etc are no where near being able to meet Americas energy needs. Making a change from leaded to unleaded fuel was a easy and somewhat smooth transition. Ending fossil fuel usage is something that is not even remotely possible at the moment. |

mat-ty, the times are not to think too shallow. Did I ever mention that oil, or even coal can't be in our future? I think that many like you miss the picture.
How foolish was it for Donald Trump to walk back a broad base of standards that challenged energy producers to move into a more viable and sustainable future while improving emissions controls and our environment overall. To retract our commitment to the Paris Accords was infinitely stupid in preparing America for the future. Innovation and technological development is the key to opening the doors for America to stay on top.
The idea that rolling back regulations and allowing corporations the opportunity to greedily strip our nation for profit without reasonable constraints and regulations is ludicrous and irresponsible. With the corporate windfall offered by the passage of the Republican tax bill, it would be unconscionable not to demand stricter requirements that would focus on a better environment and a more sustainable future. |
