Heading to RI or MA early tomorrow morning. Not sure yet where? Maybe Jamestown, RI or Sandwich MA. Looks like low tide at around 6 AM at the Cape Cod Canal with a high at 12:50 PM

Lot's of damage in the Hull Scituate area. Footage I saw from today didn't look good for a spot to park a car without damage, let alone launch. Report ??

Launched at the Hull YC oceanside. Was out about 15-20 minutes or so on the 3.5 and then there was a lull. Could not get through the white caps and ended up on shore further towards the point. Started to take the walk of shame when someone offered me a lift back to the car. At this point the wind had picked up again, but at this point decided to sail in more protected waters at Webb Memorial State Park.
Waves were long rolling breaking waves, much cleaner than the break over at Nantasket Beach.
Some of roads were covered in sand and pebbles. A couple of stoplights were blown over.
Wil definitely return to Hull.

Looking on a map I see it must have been sideshore at your launch. Footage I saw from Hull looked onshore wind and waves with shorebreak crushing the seawall. Good job getting out, my sailing doesn't start until air is over 45 degrees. I do see a dawn patrol sup surf in my very near future. JP |

Jay,
It was sideshore. I launched right next to Windflow meter. Normally the area is very shallow near low tide but the surge added a couple of feet. I will upload some pics when I get a chance.
