I'm looking a good epoxy sandwich board repair, i.e. replace inner glass, divinycell & outer glass (a la the boardlady) in Santa Cruz. Any recommendations? |

I kind of gave up on getting board repair in Santa Cruz.
I have used the guy behind the Haut shop for surfboard
repair and Alamar surf shop a couple of times for surfboards
and sUP's .
Wait times are huge.
The last few times I have taken boards up to John Miller
in San Mateo , his brother use to live in town but no more
and they were part of ASD in San Mateo at one time.
John will fix your board in weeks not months. |

Not that I could find (disclaimer: I did not call John Miller)
Even thought some of the dings were thru to the EPS - I had already ground out all the damaged material - they all wanted to just fill it with a cabosil or qcell thickened epoxy resin and glass over it.
I got some divinycell from Stretch and will try a proper repair myself. Since all my dings are on rail or nose I should be able to get enough pressure w/ tape without a need for a vacuum bag |

Thumbs up to John Miller. I had a board buckle between the footstraps and he fixed it. Not sure if he did a full vacuum bag but the repair has held up for couple seasons and the amount of weight that was added was about what I would expect. Took him 2 weeks for that project smaller repairs he does in a week. _________________ _____/)_____
