Thruster set up for early planing and lift

I have a thruster wave board that came with a tiny center fin (18 cm) with lots of rake and I’ve decided the tiny fin is impacting the light wind performance. What fin shape would provide good early planing and still provide good lift for weak cross onshore wave riding conditions? I tried a K4 rocket 20.5 cm fin and that gave the feeling I was looking for, but I managed to destroy it on some rocks. So who makes something as effective but in G-10?

I use a Ames 9.5 wave G 10 on my RRD with 11 cm sidebites.

Actually, I have a 8.75 Ames Enduro G 10 on right now. Also have my 8"er in the fin bag.

Can you give a bit more information? - which size and board, sail size, wind speed, your weight

RRD 92, 6 meter sails, 168 lbs.10-20 mph winds.
Stock 17 is a joke, like a 14 on a pure freestyle board.

Center fin in a US box or other type of box?

It's a US box center fin.

Longbox, you can go up to 30cm.
Shortbox, stay below 26cm.
