Great dock..you just slog up to it, step back, and step right off the side of your board holding your boom.

Tried to windsurf Natural Bridges with a couple of other windsurfers. They made it out. I got rejected. So many overtures and so many rejections. Thought the Ocean might file an harassment claim.
The waves were not that big, but their was a dead zone at the launch area as the cliffs were blocking the wind. Only came through in erratic gusts. Sigh...
After everyone was leaving, I headed to the east side of town. Went by Pleasure Point and Wow, a parking place presented itself. Right at the end of 36th Avenue across from the stairway. Conditions looked good. Launched and found the swell and surf to be excellent. Caught many overhead sets and some rides over 300 meters. Wind was blowing hard once outside the point. Less so inside, but there one could ride the wave without much wind. Did this for about 3/4 of an hour and then the wind shifted more northwest, which was offshore there, and results in the cliffs blocking the wind. Had so much fun while it lasted. Maybe the Ocean loves me and does not hate me after all.

D'port was happening 4.6 a bit gusty and mushy but the lower section just north of the cave was bowling up nicely. More on tap today.

Thu: pretty bad day at Crissy. Wind is nice and strong outside but after a while I make the mistake to come back to adjust the straps on my new board and I am trapped inside by the wind line that has moved further out ... I could re-rig but call the day after 3 more tries following the wind ins and outs. (Oh, is back, drag everything down the beach, take off, ops, it is dead again, go back, drag everything to the parking lot, repeat at lib.)

Fort Point was going off just upwind of you that day:

Thu: Crissy. Out with a 5.0 in very powered up conditions and CHOPPY! Not too pleasant and the wind is opened up onshore (for a change) and dies out outside ... I get distracted a few times and go too far to sink in the no wind zone in the ship channel Lot's of people out including a hero with Patrik SL 110 and 6.3.
Fri: Coyote. Another 5.0 day but kind of under powered. It is flooding heavily and the chop is very annoying here too ... or maybe I forgot how choppy the Bay Area is. A good 45' powered up but then it should be a 6.0.
Sat: Stick. Carbon Art 52 and 5.8. Great day perfectly powered. The little slalom board is sooooo much fun. Some hydrofoil activity. Robert, progressing steadily. Vincent shows up with a modified Mike's Lab Racing Kite. He goes well but his frequent crashes are frankly very scary. And then there is Sophie ... who goes out with Robert's board and in about 30' is flying the foil, still low on the water and for short distances, but never fell, jbes and tack and backwinds ... he must come from a different planet.

Diff learn curves.
Some wildly crash.
Some safe, slow.
Most learn before they get bored.

Had a great time at Natural Bridges yesterday and today on my Angulo 10'-2" Sail-SUP and my Ezzy Cheetah 7.0. Very good swell today. Perfect days for the Sail-SUP windsurfing.

Freestylers have a headstart for learning to foil.
Upright position.
Sheeting in and out.
Young..or younger.
Pumping skills.
Grace when sideways or off kilter.
Not leaning back or windward.
