Seems like a good idea to repeat our efforts of prior years.
The 4/21 Saturday selected has a low tide of -0.6 ft occurring at 11:08 AM.
Crissy Swap is scheduled for the following day, Sunday, April 22nd.
My proposal is to meet at Pt. Isabel at 10:30 AM, work on the launch until about 11:15 AM, and head over to His Lords in Berkeley for whatever cleanup, riprap relocation, slime removal, etc. we can address there. It would also be a good opportunity to see what has been accomplished at The Mats/Cal Adventures area.
Probably the PI steps are OK and we mainly need to focus on the launch pathway out into the water as far as accessible, plus maybe some riprap relocation with the existing berm. Apparently there is also one treacherous boulder just below the low tide line. I’ll also inquire again if we can get another load of fresh pea gravel installed by EBRPD for our existing rigging area.
As always, large rock moving tools, sturdy gloves, and boots to wade with are quite helpful. Barnacle cuts are a pain….
Cheers, David

Reminder - our Launch Party is this coming Saturday starting at Pt. Isabel at 10:30 AM to be followed by trek over to His Lords/Berkeley for additional fun.
Season is off to slow/precarious start, but got some nice 5.6 runs in yesterday at His Lords, until the wind dropped again.....
Cheers, David

Great to see all the old salts yesterday. AARP should have been there to do a feature article.

Yes, our demographic does seem to be skewing OLD.
Agree that it was great day, with even a dog picking up the sharp rocks in our PI launch pathway.
Significant improvements also made at His Lords.
Cheers, David
