|
|
It's frustrating to select Berkeley on the classic iwind site and the last wind update is anywhere from 15-25 minutes behind the current time.
While as far as I can tell all the other north bay sites are always within 10 minutes of the current time.
Any idea on why HLS lags the rest of the bay so badly? _________________ Sponsored by Starboard and The Loft |

What's worse, no matter what it's reading, regardless of Ti and Anita, it WILL change drastically in 10 minutes time.
I'm on about day 25 at Berkekey this year. |

Sunday, well before the 4:15 rain' 6.0 and 76cm board planing 100% at 165lbs. Foilers were on bigger sails.
Tuesday, 6.9 and 95 liter board, slightly overpowered.
Both days, peak gysts of 21, average around 15, lulls where some sailors were barely able to waterstart.

Hello iwind,
The lag on the sensor reading updating is still happening daily at HLS. At one point today the update was ONE FULL HOUR BEHIND! From 11:10 to 12:14.
Any chance you could look into this please?

Sensor updates are still continuing to be over an hour behind!
Best bite the bullet iwind and install the 4G modem for the old as heck 2G modem before the entire season is ruined. _________________ Sponsored by Starboard and The Loft |

Matters little lately at Berkeley.
Past two days, I arrived as it wound down from low 20 gusts, slow rigged in sub 15 gusts, slogged out with a 5.8, then after one slogging run..wound up for an hour at the upper limit.
Some foilers were out with same size sails, freestylers with 4.2's. |

WNDZRFR,
You do realize that the people you are trying to contact do not monitor the forum?

Thanks Coaching,
But they do take a peak now and then because they have contacted me.
The sensor needs an upgrade to the 4g modem BUT there is no timetable for when they will do this.
I'm hoping before October when the season is caput.
Since the winds are anything but constant in the East Bay the last couple of weeks it really helps to have up to the moment readings. _________________ Sponsored by Starboard and The Loft |

Didja hit Berkeley the past 3 days?
Nostradamus was hogtied and denied. No matter what you rigged, you'd be 60% wrong.
Even the guys with multiple rigs at the ready were denied the majority of their sessions. |
