So the Chinese are stealing all of our IP as we showed them exactly how to produce our products because we were too greedy to produce them ourselves.
Stealing IP, like Apple, Qualcom, Nokia all file daily lawsuits over the same thing. Yeah, it's a Chinese thing.
Nice going Guru, Wetty and NW!!!

Aiming at Trump strongholds, Mexico hits back with trade tariffs
Quote: | MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico put tariffs on American products ranging from steel to pork and bourbon on Tuesday, retaliating against import duties on metals imposed by President Donald Trump and taking aim at Republican strongholds ahead of U.S. congressional elections in November.
Mexico's response further raises trade tensions between the two countries and adds a new complication to efforts to renegotiate the trillion-dollar North American Free Trade Agreement between Canada, the United States and Mexico.
American pork producers, for whom Mexico is the largest export market, were dismayed by the move.
Trump last week rattled some of the United States' closest allies by removing an exemption to tariffs on imported steel and aluminium that his administration had granted to Mexico, Canada and the European Union.
Meanwhile, Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow revived the possibility on Tuesday that the president will seek to replace NAFTA with bilateral deals with Canada and Mexico, something both countries say they oppose.
Following news of the new Mexican tariffs, which take effect immediately, the peso (MXN=)(MXN=D2) tumbled to its weakest level since February 2017, making it one of the worst performers among major currencies.
Mexico's retaliatory list, published in the government's official gazette, included a 20 percent tariff on U.S. pork legs and shoulders, apples and potatoes and 20 to 25 percent duties on types of cheeses and bourbon.
A net importer of U.S. steel, Mexico is also putting 25 percent duties on a range of American steel products. |

Didn't you burn down the White House in 1812? Nice reaction from the Trumpster when Trudeau asked for a reason for Canadian tariffs on steel and aluminum.

US Crude Oil Price Plummets As China Tariffs Threaten Domestic Shale Industry
http://www.ibtimes.com/us-crude-oil-price-plummets-china-tariffs-threaten-domestic-shale-industry-2691989

he war of words over trade between the United States and China finally turned into an actual trade war Friday, after the administration of President Donald Trump announced a list of goods whose import from China, worth $50 billion in 2017, would be subject to an additional tariff of 25 percent. Among the retaliatory measures announced by the Asian country was the proposed imposition of tariffs on imports of petroleum products from the U.S., a move that sent domestic crude oil prices crashing.
West Texas Intermediate crude — the U.S. benchmark for crude oil — fell to its lowest point Monday since the first week of April, and 11 percent from its recent high of over $72 on May 21. As of 5 a.m. EDT Monday, WTI crude was trading at $64.67, having recovered from its low point of $63.61 Sunday night, about 10 p.m. EDT.
The fall in WTI crude is not in tandem with the global benchmark, Brent crude, which was trading about 0.7 percent higher Monday morning than a day before. The two prices are separated by a few dollars, Brent usually costing more, but that gap has increased in recent weeks for a number of reasons. However, the different directions in trade at present are caused largely by China’s announcement.
After listing 545 U.S. products, worth $34 billion, on which it will impose a 25 percent import duty from July 6, China announced another list of 114 goods, worth $16 billion, on which it will impose a similar tariff, with the final measures and the time they go into effect to be announced later. Most of the items on the second list are related to the petroleum industry, all the way from crude oil to fuel for cars and aircraft to other products like naphtha, grease and lubricants, to natural gas and propane and even wax, and further downstream to include various polymers and plastics.
The second list also includes other energy products that Trump has been trying to promote — various types of coal and associated fuels. |
