As you can read from your response , which has no basis for your derogatory “GUESS” to be placed in print . Donny from first hand observation does quality repairs. He gave me many tips on materials to build my first board from scratch.
Opinions should be based on fact or theory not crappy guesses. |
Oh pu-leeze...
Never heard of Fox Water Sports' legendary repair services, so pardon my skepticism. Someone posts how they got a fantastic soft spot repair for $75 in a day or two (which was originally estimated to take a week) and I get lambasted for making a comment that most likely what the shop did was just squirt in some epoxy? Gimme a break. 99% of the shops out there, you get a delam repair for 75 bucks and that's what you're getting - some epoxy shot into your board and a little touch up paint to cover the holes.
Pardon me for asking whether the OP did their homework and actually asked how the board was repaired....

Oh pardon you , BS. You A. You dont know the poster, B. Dont know the shops repair person.
Do you deserve a break ? NO. Posting your guess or skepticism with no basis . Where ?What are your 99% shops comments based on ?
Excuse me your lambasting , you have gotten off lightly. _________________ K4 fins

Well now, I guess have to apologize to Fox Watersports, my intention was certainly not to start a controversy around their name.
This thread it's a good reminder to myself that I should never post on IWindsurf, it's unbelievable how fast things can get sour here.
So, if a moderator is around, he would be nice to delete this thread and ban me from this forum, just to make sure I never post here again. |

One guy was in a bad mood and rained on your post. Everyone with real world experience came to Fox's and your defense. Please don't stop posting just because of one person. |

Hi Bred,
I believe your intentions were good and sound. But you unwittingly walked into the buzzsaw of Donny Bowers customers. For decades Bowers has been knocking it out of the park. _________________ Michael

What could be either good or sound ? In making speculation about something he knows nothing about ? BUT the real WHAT , is why , after 6 weeks ,of a dead thread would you bring it up now? _________________ K4 fins

In Bred2Shred's defense: two days and $75 is incredibly quick and inexpensive.
Skepticism is definitely warranted, but I guess Donny would certainly be happy that the quality of his work is not only appreciated but discussed in a little more detail here. _________________ florian - ny22

I clicked because I'm a Bowers fan and was curious. Hadn't seen the thread before. _________________ Michael

PP, reuser:
It is possible your friend , informed you of this thread, and to his defense you have now posted , that you support his skepticism
For someone to post his GUESS, and that 99% of the shops would perform a POS repair job has no credence .
Oh, dear have to go now, someone posted a hardly believable story, about a company that rotates tires for free in 30 minutes . They possibly steel a lug nut or 2, oh yea, a few gas stations in Wyoming offer free coffee with a fill up, gotta go _________________ K4 fins

Can't speak for Florian but for me, no. Just chiming in on a thread. I'm going to drop out of the thread now. _________________ Michael
