President Donald Trump said Wednesday that three American prisoners released from North Korea were headed home, a sign of potential good will ahead of Trump's planned meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
In a tweet, Trump said, "the 3 wonderful gentlemen that everyone is looking so forward to meeting" were accompanying Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on his way back from a visit to North Korea. |
Obama sits down with the Mullahs, crafts a deal. BAD
Trump sitting down with a despot. GOOD
yeah sure.... |
But it's not a treaty, never voted on by congress, only a promise between Obama/Kerry and Iran (not Iran and the USA). It never went to a vote because they new it would never pass, even Schumer was against it. BAD
But if it was a treaty, Trump wouldn't have been able to do what he did w/o congressional approval. GOOD. |
BTW- when the Prez and Sec State do a deal, it IS representative of the USA...even if you don't like it.... |
Sorry, only if it's put up for a vote. |
not true... many many presidents have enacted policy on executive action, just like the current president, and he represents our Democratic GOVT... |

True, which gives him the ability to correct a stupid mistake. |

You just can't wrap your mind around the fact that Trump is getting things done..
grow up!!!
The Iranian deal was awful, against the wishes of our closet allies in the region , and unlawful....
They laughed at us and mocked us the day it was signed... |
Really? Germany is pulling assets out of Iran as we speak... |
"In the region" I said..... |

Charles Schumer, a huge supporter of Israel was against the deal...
Not many Dems were against it, so its fairly misleading to characterize it as such... |

There were lots more, that's why it never went to the floor. Making a deal with Iran to not use nukes is like making a deal with MS13 to not bully your kid. You can't expect someone with a long track record of violence and dishonesty to suddenly be trustworthy....bad deal from day one....another promise kept. |

No, the goal is to disarm NK, not give them a get out of jail and pass Go card. NK also shares a border with one of our strongest allies and trading partners, not to mention the 30,000 us troops in the hot zone.
And I can guarantee you they will not be bribed with laundered cash like Iran was, Half-breed and horseface should go to jail for that crime. |
